Responsibilities

• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales).
• Negotiate sale and purchase prices to influence gross profit within policy.
• Adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer needs while maximizing profit.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support customers.
• Place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment.
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders.
• Handle customer returns.
• Support specific customer(s) and address inquiries with quotes and order entry.
