Job summary

Pendo is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer to own strategic Enterprise accounts across acquisition, implementation, adoption, and expansion. You will drive technical strategy for complex deployments, build value through measurable outcomes, and coach the broader Customer Engineering team.

This remote role covers an East Coast territory, partnering with Account Directors on pre-sales motions, onboarding, and ongoing adoption. AI-enabled playbooks and scalable processes are part of the day-to-day.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in customer-facing technical roles such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, or similar.
• Hands-on Web tech experience: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs; capable of architecting front-end solutions.
• Proven track record managing strategic Enterprise accounts with executive stakeholders.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems with multiple variables and tradeoffs.
• Experience using AI tools for research, content creation, or automation in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales motions for new acquisitions, product expansion, and cross-sell with Account Directors.
• Own onboarding for strategic customers, including planning, implementation, integrations, and training.
• Identify opportunities to expand adoption and link technical work to business outcomes.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical challenges and coordinate with Product/Engineering as needed.
• Develop playbooks and reusable workflows; coach peers and improve team processes.
