Job summary

Hcshiring is seeking a Food & Beverage Director to oversee daily operations of the culinary services department in a community setting. The role requires ensuring high-quality meals, proper staffing, and adherence to dietary standards and policies.

You will create menus for resident events and supervise casual and formal dining services. The position emphasizes safe food handling, budget adherence, and staff leadership, with responsibilities spanning planning, reporting, and inter-department

Qualifications

• Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in food production/management.
• Serve Safe certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation procedures and dining room etiquette.
• Knowledge of Health Department regulations and related guidelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools.
• Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
• Physically able to lift up to 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dining room service and culinary operations.
• Create and plan weekly menus following Dietitian-approved menus.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local sanitation regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas.
• Prepare monthly food service reports.
• Maintain food and supply expenses within budget or forecast.
• Recruit, orientate, train, and evaluate culinary staff.
• Coordinate and supervise catering for Community events.
