Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Dietary Manager / Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility in Virginia. The role emphasizes high food quality, inventory and safety, and client satisfaction within HCSG policies.

You will oversee staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage records, and collaborate with client managers and administrators to deliver consistent, quality dining services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision.
• CDM certification preferred (or as required by state/county law).
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and LTC-FSM within 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training and quality control; perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher when needed.
• Communicate client directives to staff effectively.
• Ensure infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed.
• Represent HCSG positively to supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
