Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) for CT; CT certification preferred.
• BLS within 60 days is required.
• State licensure as applicable upon hire.
• IV competency required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all CT functions.
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
• Identify patients, verify orders, and prep for the exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality and accuracy, ensuring complete anatomical coverage.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care.
• Provide patient education and address concerns; ensure comfort.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers post-procedure.
• Stay updated on CT technology and participate in continuing education.
• Instruct students and other radiology staff in exam protocols and positioning.
