Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification within 60 days required.
• Licensure in state of practice required upon hire.
• IV competency within 90 days required.
• For Colorado roles, fluoroscopy certification preferred.
• 1–2 years CT hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
• Verify patient identification and prepare patient for exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality, clarity and coverage of anatomical structures.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care or quality.
• Provide patient education and address concerns; ensure comfort.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers.
• Stay updated with CT advancements via continuing education and professional development.
• Instruct students and radiology technologists on protocols and equipment.
