Job summary

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration.
• BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Minimum of 3 years CT Technologist experience.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and recognition of normal/variant anatomy.
• Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.
• 1–2 years CT hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
• Verify patient identity and prepare patient for exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality and accuracy; ensure all anatomy is captured.
• Maintain radiation safety and a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care.
• Educate patients and address concerns; coordinate care with others.
