Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification within 60 days required.
• State licensure as applicable upon hire.
• IV competency within 90 days required.
• Level II technologist requires 3+ years CT experience.
• Fluoroscopy certification preferred in CO, required in some facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and information systems to produce quality images.
• Verify patient identity and prepare for exams.
• Perform exams per department protocol and ensure image quality.
• Review images for quality and safety, capturing necessary anatomy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain safety for patients and staff.
• Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care.
• Educate patients and comfort them; address concerns.
• Coordinate care and communicate with other providers.
• Keep up-to-date with CT advancements through continuing education.
• Instruct students and radiology staff in protocols and equipment.
