Qualifications

• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• ARRT radiography (R) certification.
• NMTCB certification.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Advanced CT certification within two years of employment; preferable ACR Registry.
• Preferred: Advanced CT certification recognized by the ACR Registry.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure for accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient for understanding.
• Operates imaging equipment per protocol (IV placement included).
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs timely quality control per regulatory standards.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staffing, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts communication and service to patient population; maintains confidentiality.
• Performs other related duties as required.
