Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Critical Operations Manager to lead facility operations and preventive maintenance for our data center spaces in South Carolina. You will supervise technicians, coordinate safety programs, and drive continuous improvement of critical systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting experience, and proven ability to respond to incidents promptly while coordinating with site leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of workplace or relevant industry experience.
• Direct or indirect people leadership experience.
• Experience in data center or critical facilities environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and maintain facility policies and procedures.
• Develop emergency response planning and reporting for critical systems.
• Lead preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Oversee work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate space and cable plant design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Ensure timely updates and closure of incidents and work orders.
• Lead response to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Participate in budget preparation and monitoring.
• Mentor and develop Critical Operations Technicians.
• Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
