Job summary

Truist in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Credit Risk Manager to independently review and challenge credit decision strategies across Consumer Lending. You will govern policies, coordinate with business units, and support risk governance forums while ensuring compliance with PMG standards.

The role covers portfolios including Credit Card, Auto, Mortgage, Small Business, and more, with a focus on asset quality and risk appetite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• 7+ years of credit-related experience including underwriting/credit approval.
• Experience with consumer, small business, credit card, mortgage and wealth.
• Knowledge of consumer risk and regulatory requirements.
• Strategic thinking, multi-tasking, and change management.
• Strong quantitative, governance, and analytic abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement credit policies, guidelines, and procedures with BUs and risk functions.
• Champion a strong credit culture and align lending strategies with risk appetite.
• Provide oversight on portfolios to manage asset quality and risk concentrations.
• Perform independent credit risk assessments on BU transactions.
• Manage systems of record for Loan/Operational Authority and conduct control assessments.
• Monitor delinquent loans and charge-offs with loss-mitigation teams.
• Support training, communication, and committee presentations with independent analysis.
• Stay updated on laws, regulations, and market trends affecting risk management.
