Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Atlanta seeks a senior credit risk leader to guide risk management across consumer portfolios, including Direct to Consumer, Small Business, Mortgage and Auto. You will analyze trends, advise production leaders, and drive action plans to strengthen controls and portfolio performance.

In this role you will participate in risk committees, develop policy enhancements, monitor loan quality, and raise risk awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent education.
• 10 years of credit-related experience including complex lending structures and problem loan experience.
• 7+ years of related experience across consumer, small business, credit cards, mortgage and wealth.
• Consumer risk and regulatory knowledge.
• Strategic thinking and ability to drive change.
• Strong quantitative, governance and analytic abilities.
• Strong decision making capability.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide credit risk management direction and leadership to assigned portfolio segments to meet objectives and identify risks.
• Ensure sound risk management techniques are implemented and maintained in key portfolio risk functions.
• Review components of consumer BU credit risk management processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Serve as expert in credit functions/committees and participate in risk governance activities.
• Communicate expectations regarding portfolio quality, profitability and growth; influence pricing strategies.
• Ensure new or revised product offerings align with risk appetite.
• Oversee credit review processes and monitor loan approvals.
• Monitor lender and underwriter scorecards to assess loan quality.
• Monitor delinquent loans, non-performing assets and charge-offs, coordinating with loss mitigation teams.
• Develop and review loan origination, servicing and credit-related policies.
