Job summary

Truist in Charlotte, NC is seeking a senior credit risk professional to manage risk programs, governance and reporting, and to support modernization initiatives. You will analyze credit data with Excel, prepare executive materials, and coordinate with Audit Directors and Risk Officers to drive risk oversight and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent education and related training.
• Ten+ years of bank credit risk related experience.
• Excellent skills in credit risk identification, measurement, governance and reporting activities.
• Meaningful Supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong talent for influencing those with higher levels of authority.
• Ability to think strategically, multi‑task and drive change.
• Strong quantitative, governance and analytical abilities, including advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large or complex data sets, identify trends, and translate analysis into clear business insights.
• Strong decision‑making capability.
• Strong leadership, partnership and management skills.
• Proven ability to communicate with various constituencies including Senior Management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage risk program activities including credit risk identification, measurement, governance and reporting.
• Prepare program reporting for senior management and boards.
• Provide SME to leadership for audits and regulatory examinations.
• Support portfolio strategy and modernization initiatives.
• Manage projects and initiatives that advance credit portfolio strategy, governance and modernization.
• Provide credit risk subject‑matter expertise in review of risk inventories and KPIs; analyze data to identify trends and insights.
