Job summary

Columbia Bank in Phoenix is seeking a senior leader to manage the Credit Risk Review Examiners and oversee independent loan reviews, including large and complex credits. You will ensure adherence to bank policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory guidance while accurately identifying risk in the internal loan risk rating system.

This on-site role requires 7–10 years in banking with commercial credit and staff management, a Bachelor's in accounting, finance, economics or related field, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field (preferred).
• 7–10 years of banking experience in commercial credit and business financial analysis with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong financial analysis, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Credit Risk Review Examiners in completing independent loan reviews.
• Provide independent review and risk assessment of large and complex loans.
• Ensure adherence to bank credit policies, underwriting guidelines and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate workflow for the review team and report results to senior management.
• Develop annual operating and staffing plan for the department; oversee training and mentoring.
• Draft policies and procedures; review project plans and draft reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to address credit risk issues.
