Job summary

Western Alliance Bank’s Credit Risk Review team seeks a qualified reviewer to lead quarterly credit file examinations and loan reviews. The role evaluates underwriting quality, risk grades, and portfolio risk trends, working with internal stakeholders across locations including Phoenix, Scottsdale, and other markets.

The candidate will monitor credit risk, participate in meetings, and help ensure adherence to credit policies with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of commercial credit principles and strong analytical skills.
• Experience interpreting credit risk reports and data.
• Ability to communicate complex credit concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and prudent lending practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly credit file examinations and loan reviews.
• Evaluate borrower risk profiles and risk ratings across portfolios.
• Support the Credit Risk Review team with analyses and comments in reports.
• Guide junior reviewers and validate accuracy of risk ratings.
