Job summary

The role provides guidance on complex reviews, influences strategic decisions, and collaborates with Relationship Managers and Risk Management to strengthen credit processes. Strong CRE/ C&I experience and regulatory knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in finance/economics or related field.
• At least five years in financial institutions/regulatory supervision.
• At least three years of staff management experience.
• Strong knowledge of CRE and General C&I, SBA lending, leverage finance, agriculture, etc.
• Solid understanding of credit processes, policies, and portfolio management.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state banking laws related to credit risk.
• Ability to write and present clear, concise reports with actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of credit risk review analysts to ensure loans comply with policies and risk guidelines.
• Provide input on highly complex, high-value reviews and strategic decisions.
• Review loan portfolios for quality and trends; assess risk and potential weaknesses.
• Lead and conduct workout discussions and address policy issues with management.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and Risk Management to strengthen processes.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and Sunflower Bank's ethical standards.
