Sunflower Bank, N.A. seeks an energetic Credit Risk Review Manager in Overland Park, KS. You will lead a team assessing credit risk for loans and commitments, ensuring adherence to bank policies and regulatory guidelines.

The role provides guidance on complex reviews and supports strategic risk decisions. The position requires a finance or econ degree with several years in credit risk, staff leadership, and strong reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent.
• 5+ years in financial institutions or regulatory supervisory institutions.
• 3+ years of staff management experience.
• Commercial credit expertise in CRE and C&I; SBA lending, leverage finance, agriculture, warehouse lending, etc.
• Sound understanding of credit processes: loan origination and underwriting; credit policies; portfolio management, ALLL; loan review/remediation.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state banking laws related to credit risk.
• Ability to write and present clear reports with meaningful recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Manage continuous independent review of loans and commitments, analyzing borrower financial statements, collateral valuations, and repayment capacity for risk grading.
• Review reports on quality and trends in the loan portfolio and provide credit risk management input.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and Risk Management to address issues and strengthen credit processes.
• Conduct workout credit discussions and Credit Policy issues with management.
• Review major and complex loans and report exposures to management.
• Maintain ongoing credit risk oversight of existing major adversely graded credits.
• Perform Loan Quality Reviews to ensure reporting consistency.
