U.S. Bank is seeking a seasoned Credit Analyst to approve extensions of credit and provide detailed analyses to support lending decisions. You will gather and interpret diverse financial data, assess risk, and recommend actions that protect the bank’s portfolio and profitability.

Strong communication and writing skills are essential as you prepare formal analyses. The role requires deep knowledge of credit policies, plus experience with financial analysis, economics, accounting, and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically six or more years of relevant experience.
• Strong credit analysis and analytical skills.
• In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, credit administration, credit policy and procedures, and risk analysis.
• Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance.
• Effective technical report writing skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages.
• Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

• Approve extension of credit and make recommendations to final lending decision-makers.
• Conduct complete credit analysis by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting all types of credit information on customers.
• Review customer accounts and portfolios to identify and determine actions on potential credit quality issues.
• Utilize tools to compare actions and support recommendations after evaluating possibilities.
