Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to approve or deny credit extensions for new and renewing loans. You will conduct comprehensive credit analyses, gather and interpret data, and review portfolios to identify risk and determine the best action.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and typically six+ years of experience, with preference for Master’s or CPA certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically six or more years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
• Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance.
• Effective technical report writing skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer navigation skills using various software packages.

Responsibilities

• Approve or deny extension of credit for new, renewal, and extensions.
• Conduct complete credit analyses, gathering and interpreting all types of credit information.
• Review customer accounts and portfolios to identify credit quality issues and determine action.
• Use software tools to evaluate credit scenarios and portfolios.
• Make informed recommendations and/or decisions after evaluating possibilities.
