Job summary

Union State Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to focus on risk management for the loan portfolio. You will gather and analyze credit information on borrowers, evaluate credit for various loan types, and support loan officers in preparing requests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, and economics, as would be acquired through a four-year, college level course of study.
• Formal credit training and/or prior experience analyzing commercial, agricultural, consumer, or real estate credits is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of laws, rules & regulations affecting banking/lending industry as would be acquired through 2 years of experience in banking or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality internal customer service by communicating risk assessments on various types of loans from the simple to the complex.
• Analyze financial information including tax returns, accounts receivable aging, inventory reports, cash flow statements, etc.
• Analyze commercial, agricultural, consumer, and commercial real estate relationships, including evaluation of industry conditions, market trends, borrower management strength, and repayment capacity.
• Assess borrower cash flow, liquidity, leverage, guarantor strength, collateral coverage, and overall repayment capacity.
• Identify key risks, strengths, mitigating factors, and industry considerations affecting credit quality.
