Job summary

AmeriServ Financial Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to support lending by preparing detailed credit analyses and evaluating financial data for risk assessment. You will ensure documentation is complete, assist relationship managers, and help maintain a strong credit culture across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field and at least 18 months of commercial banking credit analysis experience, with knowledge of credit policy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field with accounting coursework through at least the intermediate level.
  • Minimum of eighteen (18) months of commercial banking experience in the credit analysis department or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of the bank’s credit policy.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and timely credit analysis to support loan production.
  • Evaluate financial statements and credit data to determine risk and document findings.
  • Identify documentation deficiencies and coordinate with relationship managers for timely approvals.
  • Provide direction and coaching to less experienced Credit Analysts.
  • Monitor financial covenants and review real estate appraisals as assigned.
  • Adhere to deadlines and maintain knowledge of bank products and policies.
