Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to evaluate and approve extensions of credit with thorough analysis of customers and portfolios. You will use financial data and risk assessment tools to recommend actions that protect credit quality and minimize loss.

Strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen in economics/finance, and excellent written and verbal communication are essential. This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location part-time each week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically six or more years of relevant experience.
• Strong credit analysis and analytical skills.
• In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, credit administration, and risk analysis.
• Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance.
• Effective technical report writing skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages.
• Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approve extensions of credit and make recommendations on loans and renewals.
• Conduct complete credit analysis by gathering and interpreting all credit information.
• Review accounts and portfolios to identify and manage credit risk.
• Use tools to compare actions and support final lending decisions.
