Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Finance/CRE professional to oversee credit underwriting and support property transactions from origination to approval. You will analyze cash flows, assess risks, and prepare concise credit narratives for approval committees.

Responsibilities include maintaining loan compliance databases, conducting portfolio reviews, and coordinating with portfolio managers and credit approvers. A strong Excel and financial analysis background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of experience in a finance/analytical related role.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing accurate and consistent financial statements spreads, quarterly trend analyses, quarterly monitoring reports and covenant tests in accordance with bank spreading standards and credit policies.
• Analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive written analyses, analyzing portfolio credit quality and assisting with industry sector reviews, assisting Portfolio Managers in preparing and presenting credit requests for Credit Approval.
• Maintaining a compliance monitoring and financial statistic database that tracks credit agreement requirements, receipt of customer’s financial reporting requirements, and credit metric trends.
• Proactively identifying and communicating emerging risks, mitigants, and other issues at the transaction and portfolio level.
• Support both existing property transactions (including refinancings) and ground‑up construction projects, including budget monitoring and monthly construction draw reviews through project completion.
• Assist with new deal originations, evaluating opportunities with typical transaction sizes of $50MM–$100MM, with select transactions up to $750MM.
• Participate in the preparation and negotiation of term sheets, as applicable.
