Fremont Bank in Livermore, CA is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter to support commercial lending decisions by performing high-quality credit analysis and underwriting complex CRE transactions.

You will assess borrower creditworthiness, review third-party reports, and prepare credit memos, collaborating with sales partners and mentoring junior staff while maintaining regulatory standards and the bank's community-focused mission.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting.
• Knowledge of the Bay Area real estate market.
• Strong proficiency in spreading financials in related software.
• Working knowledge of bank regulations, risk rating systems, and loan documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to adapt to preferred communication style of internal stakeholders and external borrowers.
• Strong attention to detail, while still having the ability to scale analysis based on the strengths and weaknesses of each credit.

Mansioni

• Underwrite and analyze a broad range of complex CRE loans (owner and non-owner occupied).
• Assess borrower creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, and appraisals.
• Review environmental and third-party reports and summarize conclusions in the Narrative.
• Prepare and evaluate cash flows and assess property-level risks.
• Create credit memos for loan committees with risk and recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales partners to structure loan terms while mitigating risk.
• Mentor junior staff and support audits and regulatory exams.
