Job summary

Centier Bank is seeking an Underwriter III to prepare analyses for commercial loans ranging from $1,000,000 up to the bank's lending limit. The role focuses on moderately complex commercial loans, with CRE or C&I emphasis and exposure to relationships over $5 million.

The incumbent will review financials, prepare presentations, and engage with lenders to assess risk and creditworthiness, ensuring compliance and timely decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial lending experience with credit/risk focus.
• Experience with moderately complex CRE loans and specialty lending.
• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or equivalent training.
• Formal credit training through ABA, RMA, or bank program.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Present data, conclusions and recommendations with independent thought.
• Collect and analyze borrower financials to determine credit levels for complex loans.
• Prepare 10–50 page written loan presentations for new loans and renewals.
• Review covenant compliance and financial statements.
• Interact with lenders and customers to evaluate credit worthiness.
• Participate in meetings with Business Bankers and SVP's on loans.
• Take ownership of the loan portfolio to prevent delinquency and losses.
• Train less experienced analysts and organize department projects.
