Moody's Investors Service is seeking a seasoned CRE Ratings Analyst to lead analysis of commercial real estate securitizations and credit opinions. You will build complex financial models, assess property cash flows, and present findings to rating committees.

You will collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and leverage AI tools to streamline processes while adhering to risk and ethics standards. Strong CRE background with 5+ years and a finance degree are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CRE sector experience.
• Strong analytical skills for mortgage-backed securities, cash flows, and credit risk.
• Experience developing and substantiating credit opinions via quantitative analysis.
• Excel and financial modeling techniques for transaction analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication to present findings to ratings committees and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with limited supervision.
• Hands-on experience with AI concepts and using AI tools to streamline workflows and manage AI risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and surveillance of commercial real estate securitizations for credit assessments and research.
• Develop and maintain deal-level financial models to support rating surveillance and credit analysis.
• Formulate, document, and substantiate credit opinions from quantitative and qualitative assessments.
• Serve as lead ratings analyst for assigned transactions and present recommendations to rating committees.
• Communicate analytical conclusions and transaction updates in meetings and discussions.
• Prepare accurate, timely research publications and press releases.
• Contribute to special research projects and thought leadership.
• Support rating analysis of CRE CLOs, including transitional floating-rate loans.
