Job summary

CRE Finance Council seeks a Credit Analyst focused on commercial real estate (CRE) loans, with 3–5 years of credit analysis experience. You will analyze financials and cash flows, assess risk, and prepare credit presentations for loan approval and policy compliance.

The role requires collaboration with lending teams, loan committees, and other departments to support CRE underwriting and risk management. Formal credit training or CFA/RMA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of credit analysis experience in banking or financial institution
• Experience underwriting CRE and C&I loans preferred, CRE focus
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
• Formal credit training or relevant certifications preferred
• Knowledge of loan documentation and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare financial summaries and credit presentations for CRE and C&I loan requests
• Review borrower financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow models
• Assess creditworthiness including liquidity, management quality, market position, collateral
• Present objective credit recommendations to Credit Analyst Manager and loan committees
• Ensure analyses and loan structures comply with policies and regulations
• Monitor existing credits for early adverse trend signals and actions
• Collaborate with lenders and departments to support business development and portfolio management
• Assist in updating credit policies and risk practices
• Stay updated on OCC/FDIC/FFIEC regulatory changes
