Job summary

Principal Financial Group in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Sr Commercial Real Estate Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Real Estate Finance Consulting team. You will analyze and complete all aspects of commercial real estate financing transactions to meet client investment strategies.

The role requires 7+ years of CRE experience with emphasis on financing structures, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex documentation and deadlines in a hybrid in-office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, law, economics, or a related field is required.
• 7+ years of commercial real estate experience, including 4+ years focused on financing issues and structures, or an advanced related degree such as a Juris Doctor (JD) is required.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess strong communication skills including verbal, written, listening and negotiating skills.
• Ability to work independently, be results oriented and exhibit excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret and analyze legal documentation and complex legal structures and issues, assess risk and make decisions based on independent analysis.
• Must also have strong organizational, project management, planning skills and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, competing priorities.
• Must be able to demonstrate skills in marketing and customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess risks of transaction due diligence.
• Draft, negotiate and make decisions regarding terms and conditions of legal documentation.
• Manage transaction process by coordinating information delivery between internal and external parties.
• Assist in developing and maintaining business relationships with real estate owners, developers and investment brokers.
• Assist in researching developments in commercial real estate financing and assist in formulating appropriate procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
