Job summary

Happen Bank, formerly LendingClub, is seeking a Sr CRA Manager to lead its Community Reinvestment Act program, develop strategic plans, and strengthen governance. You’ll oversee data, regulatory reporting, and community investments to align with regulatory expectations and bank objectives.

The role involves partnering with senior leaders, managing CRA audits, and coordinating outreach within CRA areas to identify needs and build relationships with community organizations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in CRA or a related regulatory function within a bank or regulated financial institution
• Deep working knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act, implementing regulations, interagency guidance, and related regulatory expectations
• Experience managing CRA programs, including Strategic Plans, performance context, data collection and analysis, documentation, regulatory reporting, and community development activities
• Proven experience leading CRA examinations and interacting directly with federal and/or state banking regulators
• Experience developing and executing CRA strategies aligned with business objectives, community needs, and regulatory expectations
• Strong understanding of retail banking products, deposit operations, lending activities, and community development programs
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with community organizations and internal stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate findings into recommendations

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute Happen Bank’s multi-year CRA strategy and Strategic Plan, monitoring performance against goals
• Monitor and analyze CRA performance and prepare reporting for governance forums and committees
• Oversee CRA data collection, validation, monitoring, and reporting across lending, investment, service, and community development activities
• Maintain CRA documentation and regulatory records, including public file and supporting documentation
• Conduct community outreach within CRA assessment areas to identify needs and partner with leadership to develop programs
• Build relationships with nonprofit and for-profit organizations to identify CRA-qualified opportunities
• Manage the Bank’s CRA donations budget and coordinate volunteer opportunities
• Provide CRA subject-matter expertise across the Bank and support regulatory changes
• Lead and support CRA audits and regulatory examinations, including documentation and remediation
