Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a CRA Credit & Investment Business Strategy Manager to lead community development lending and investments across the bank. You will assess opportunities aligned with CRA objectives, perform underwriting, and guide cross-functional teams to execution.

The role requires substantial experience in CRA finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize community impact and financial return.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting non-profit and community development financing structures.
• Experience with LIHTC, NMTC, EQ2, and securitized community development investments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with cross-functional collaboration ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy strategies in collaboration with stakeholders for community development lending and investments.
• Lead underwriting and due diligence for CRA investments, including structure and risk assessment.
• Prepare credit memos, investment summaries, and approval packages.
• Monitor performance, covenants, and impact of CRA loans and investments.
• Engage internal and external partners to align with Bank goals and community needs.
