Job summary

Columbia Bank seeks a Community Impact Officer to bridge the bank with community organizations and underserved markets across the footprint. This role drives CRA compliance, development initiatives and investment strategies aligned with the Community Benefits Agreement.

You will analyze data, lead campaigns, and identify opportunities to expand lending and investments in LMI areas while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, Business or related field required.
• 5+ years in corporate responsibility, nonprofit relationships, community engagement, philanthropy or CRA compliance.
• Strong external and internal relationship management.
• Experience in designing and improving programs for low-to-moderate income communities.

Responsibilities

• Represent the bank in community and economic development activities, building relationships with nonprofits, government agencies, and LMI communities.
• Lead and support community impact, CRA and Community Benefits Agreement campaigns and outreach strategies.
• Support community impact data analysis and tasks related to audits and compliance exams.
• Identify and refer business lending opportunities in underserved markets and help design processes to stimulate opportunities.
• Facilitate policies for planning and implementing high-impact philanthropic and development programs.
• Provide strategic planning and market analysis across assigned regions.
• Manage Regional Community Impact Leadership Committees to ensure equitable investments.
