Job summary

Happen Bank, formerly LendingClub, seeks a Sr CRA Manager to own the Community Reinvestment Act program strategy and governance. You will monitor performance, lead data collection, and ensure regulatory alignment while partnering with leaders across the bank.

You will oversee audits, community outreach, and CRA training, driving initiatives that support low- and moderate-income communities. A strong regulatory background and collaboration with regulators are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive CRA or related regulatory experience within a bank or regulated financial institution.
• Deep working knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act, implementing regulations, interagency guidance, and related regulatory expectations.
• Experience managing CRA programs, including Strategic Plans, performance context, data collection and analysis, documentation, regulatory reporting, and community development activities.
• Proven experience leading CRA examinations and interacting with federal/state banking regulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute multi-year CRA strategy and Strategic Plan; monitor performance against goals.
• Monitor CRA performance and prepare reporting for governance forums; provide recommendations.
• Oversee CRA data collection, validation, monitoring, and reporting across lending, investment, service, and community development activities.
• Maintain CRA documentation and regulatory records, including public file and supporting documentation.
• Conduct community outreach to identify credit and community development needs and co-create programs with leadership.
• Build relationships with organizations to identify CRA-qualified opportunities aligned with safety and soundness.
• Manage CRA donations budget and coordinate volunteer and community development opportunities.
• Provide CRA expertise across the Bank and train employees and Board; monitor regulatory developments and implement changes.
• Lead CRA audits and regulatory examinations, including preparation and remediation.
