Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Manager, Senior Counsel for Enterprise Data to influence how the company operationalizes its data strategy. You will partner with business leaders and cross‑functional teams to balance legal compliance with innovation in data use, including AI.

You will advise on privacy, regulatory requirements, and complex data governance across the enterprise, delivering proactive guidance and practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• At least 4 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, government, military JAG, or in‑house counsel.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to Enterprise Data leadership on data initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and operational risks related to data use, governance, and AI.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance and Legal teams to design compliant solutions to business problems.
• Apply data privacy, technology and AI laws to novel data use cases.
