Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• At least 5 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm environment, government agency, military, or in-house counsel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal counsel for critical products and initiatives in servicing, including new emerging technologies.
• Partner with business leaders, Compliance, and Risk teams to assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, and contractual risks.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and translate business goals into practical legal advice.
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across Card Legal and risk partners.
• Communicate complex legal concepts clearly to leadership to foster alignment and trust.
