Job summary

This Senior Counsel, Procurement & Construction will lead drafting, review, and negotiation of EPC, BoP, long-term service, and procurement agreements for utility-scale solar, wind, storage, and related energy projects across North America. The role serves as a strategic legal partner to construction, procurement, development, finance, and leadership teams.

Candidates should have extensive experience with complex commercial agreements, strong risk assessment capabilities, and a track record

Qualifications

• J.D., LL.B., or equivalent law degree
• Active bar membership in a U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction
• 10+ years of law firm and/or in-house legal experience
• Demonstrated expertise drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Experience managing external legal counsel

Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and ongoing management of sophisticated commercial agreements for renewable energy projects.
• Advise construction and procurement teams throughout project execution and manage legal risks across lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks; deliver legal training to stakeholders.
• Manage outside counsel relationships and assist with due diligence for project financing and M&A.
