Job summary

EDF power solutions North America seeks a Senior Counsel to lead drafting, negotiation, and review of major commercial contracts and M&A agreements for solar, wind, and storage projects. The role supports project finance, PPAs, interconnection, and procurement matters across North America.

You will partner with cross‑functional teams, manage external counsel when needed, and ensure regulatory compliance while guiding corporate strategy and risk management in a fast‑growing energy company.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school or equivalent.
• Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state or Canadian province/territory.
• Minimum 3–5 years of law firm and/or in-house experience; renewable energy background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and review of major contracts, MSAs, NDAs, and transaction documents.
• Oversee mergers and acquisitions activity including joint ventures and project structuring.
• Provide counsel on project finance, offtake, interconnection, and procurement agreements for renewable energy projects.
• Advise cross-functional teams on regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance matters.
