Description du poste

Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer | US Solar, BESS & Wind

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing independent power producer developing, building, and operating renewable energy projects across the Americas. With a diversified pipeline spanning solar, battery energy storage (BESS), and wind, the business is scaling its platform to meet growing demand for clean power and is investing in a lean, high-performing legal function to support that growth.

About the Role

This is a newly created senior legal role supporting the company's engineering, procurement, construction, and operations & maintenance (O&M) activities across its solar, BESS, and wind portfolio. Reporting to the VP Legal, the successful candidate will operate with significant autonomy, advising construction, asset management, development, and financing teams from early-stage procurement through construction close-out and into long-term operations. The role will also flex into occasional support on M&A, project development, and broader corporate matters as the business requires.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate, and administer EPC agreements, equipment supply agreements, and O&M agreements across the solar, BESS, and wind portfolio.
  • Advise construction, asset management, development, and finance teams on contract risk allocation, change orders, notices, claims, and dispute resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support procurement strategy on major equipment and construction packages, including structuring of warranties and performance guarantees.
  • Advise on tariff and trade policy exposure within equipment supply contracts, and help shape appropriate risk allocation.
  • Advise on tax credit-related contract terms, including domestic content qualification, prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements, FEOC restrictions, and related compliance matters.
  • Manage outside counsel engagements on the above, balancing legal spend against business need.
  • Support project finance and tax equity counsel on construction-related conditions precedent, lender requirements, and diligence items linked to EPC, procurement, and O&M agreements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with development, engineering, construction, and finance teams to ensure contracting processes and underwriting standards reflect the company's risk appetite and commercial priorities.
Candidate Requirements
  • JD and active US bar license.
  • 5+ years' experience drafting, negotiating, and administering EPC, procurement, and O&M agreements for utility-scale solar, BESS, and/or wind projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound, commercially-minded legal judgment on risk allocation and negotiation strategy.
  • Familiarity with tariff and trade policy risk in renewable equipment supply chains.
