Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Counsel, Real Estate to support our data center and development initiatives. You will lead drafting and negotiation of community benefit, development and incentive agreements, and provide guidance on zoning, land use and real estate finance in coordination with internal teams and outside counsel.

The role requires a JD, active bar admission, and at least 5 years of experience in real estate development and economic development transactions,

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and bar membership in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years practicing law in real estate development and economic development transactions.
Experience drafting economic development documents (community benefit, development, incentive agreements).
Experience drafting real estate development documents (purchase agreements, leases, easements).
Review of title commitments, surveys and related due diligence with title companies.
Knowledge of zoning, land use, entitlements and real estate finance concepts.

Responsibilities

Lead drafting and negotiation of community benefit and development agreements with municipalities and authorities.
Advise on zoning, land use, tax abatements and incentives in coordination with teams.
Draft and negotiate real estate purchase/sale agreements, leases, easements and licenses.
Manage multiple deals from diligence through closing with internal and outside counsel.
Provide sound legal and business judgment on loans, joint ventures and tax disputes.
