Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group, a leading AAA insurer, seeks a Sr. Counsel for Commercial Transactions to remotely support nationwide. You will structure, draft, and negotiate sophisticated insurance distribution arrangements, reinsurance, and multi-party programs, partnering with business teams to translate new models into clear risk allocations and contractual rights.

Required are a U.S. law degree with bar admission and 10+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in good standing in the state of residency.
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant practice area.
• Substantial knowledge of current law and issues within area of specialty.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an organized, effective, and timely manner.
• Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements.
• Advise on reinsurance transactions and multi-party programs.
• Structure complex insurance programs and commercial transactions, including fleet programs and fronting arrangements.
• Coordinate suites of interrelated agreements and translate business models into workable legal structures.
• Partner across the organization on strategic initiatives and broader contracts, IP, and marketing matters.
• Participate in process-improvement initiatives and adoption of new tools.
