The senior attorney will lead structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements and reinsurance programs, advising partners across the business, and aligning contracts with strategic goals.

The role requires a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school, bar admission, and 10+ years of experience in commercial transactions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in good standing in the state of residency.
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant practice area.
• Substantial knowledge of current law and issues within area of specialty.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an organized, effective, and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements.
• Advise on reinsurance transactions and multi-party programs.
• Structure complex insurance programs and related agreements.
• Coordinate suites of interrelated agreements and translate business models into legal structures.
• Partner across the organization on strategic initiatives and process-improvement projects.
• Participate in legal department initiatives and adopt new tools and approaches.
