Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company redefining consumer finance. We seek a Senior Counsel, Capital Markets to lead capital-raising and financing transactions and to manage bank-partner relationships.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, ensure regulatory compliance, and advise cross-functional teams from a legal perspective. Qualifications include 7+ years of law-firm experience (in-house fintech preferred), a JD, and US bar admission.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant law-firm experience, with preferred in-house fintech exposure.
• JD degree from a well-regarded law school and US bar admission.
• Experience in structured and/or debt finance and capital markets.
• Strong integrity, judgment, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise and lead capital markets financing transactions and bank partnership initiatives from strategy to closing.
• Draft and negotiate US and international capital markets documents including credit agreements and indentures.
• Demonstrate expertise in lending and securities laws related to capital markets.
• Coordinate as the primary legal contact for capital markets and bank partnerships, advising cross-functional teams.
