Job summary

Quantum Health is seeking a Corporate Counsel to lead benefits administration and service contracts. You will advise on ERISA, ACA, HIPAA and state laws, draft and negotiate complex vendor agreements, and support audits and investigations.

Remote work within the U.S. or hybrid work from Dublin, Ohio is available. You bring 5–10 years of benefits law experience and strong drafting and negotiation skills to drive compliant, client‑focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in a U.S. state.
• 5 to 10 years of legal experience with health and welfare benefits, ERISA fiduciary matters, and vendor contracts.
• In‑house counsel experience focused on employee benefits and health plans preferred.
• Benefits litigation experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA and IRS regs affecting group health plans.
• Strong fiduciary responsibility under ERISA.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage client and vendor contracts.
• Clear communication of complex legal issues to business leaders.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Strategic, pragmatic, business‑minded problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft client, vendor, and partner contracts including TPAs and PBMs.
• Counsel on design, implementation and administration of health and welfare plans.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA and state requirements.
• Draft and maintain plan documents, SPDs, and participant communications.
• Handle disputes, claims, and appeals with oversight of outside counsel when needed.
• Track legislative and regulatory developments affecting benefits plans.
• Support audits, DOL investigations, and inquiries related to benefits administration.
• Educate internal stakeholders on fiduciary obligations and contract compliance.
• Participate in special projects and other legal initiatives.
