Job summary

Quantum Health, Inc. seeks a Corporate Counsel – Benefits Administration & Service Contracts to advise on ERISA, ACA, HIPAA compliance, and complex vendor negotiations for health plan sponsors and downstream vendors.

This role negotiates contracts, drafts plan documents, oversees disputes, and ensures regulatory compliance across health benefits programs, with remote/hybrid flexibility and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active State license.
• 5–10 years of legal experience with health and welfare benefits, ERISA fiduciary matters, and vendor contract negotiation.
• In-house counsel experience focused on employee benefits and health plans preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with business leaders.
• Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft client and vendor contracts including TPAs, PBMs, wellness vendors, and insurers.
• Provide legal counsel on design, implementation, and administration of health and welfare benefit plans.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA and state requirements.
• Draft SPDs and participant communications for regulatory clarity.
• Oversee disputes, claims, and appeals and manage outside counsel as needed.
• Monitor regulatory developments and update policies and procedures.
• Support audits and Department of Labor investigations related to benefits administration.
• Educate stakeholders on fiduciary obligations and contract compliance.
• Participate in special projects and other legal initiatives as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
