Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the Greater El Paso area seeks a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for a large, multi-phase data center program. The role offers remote flexibility for local professionals with occasional site travel, and requires strong leadership and client-facing collaboration.

You will develop and maintain cost plans, manage budgets and change control, review designs, and mentor junior staff while upholding Turner & Townsend's standards of delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or actively pursuing.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects with high complexity.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders across project phases.
• Provide cost planning and produce final cost plans.
• Review estimates with design teams and general contractors.
• Coordinate cost information from suppliers, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Prepare cost update reports and executive summaries for stakeholders.
• Lead cost checks, valuations, and post-contract variances.
• Mentor and coach junior cost management staff.
• Support value engineering and optioning during design.
