Job summary

Turner & Townsend in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management across a diverse portfolio of construction projects. This client-facing role will act as the day-to-day interface for multiple clients, delivering value-added cost management services throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in cost management, a related degree, and RICS accreditation or progress toward it.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
Excellent communication skills.
RICS accreditation or working towards it (preferred).
Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects.

Responsibilities

Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
Review cost estimates with design services team and general contractor.
Coordinate all sources of cost information for cost discussions with subs and suppliers.
Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate value engineering sessions with stakeholders.
Develop cost plans and estimates through design phases and update at milestones.
Review contractor pricing and lead negotiations to achieve fair contract prices.
Perform quantity surveying, cost controls and change management across the project lifecycle.
