Job summary

Turner & Townsend in San Diego seeks a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for a diverse portfolio of construction projects. You will act as the day-to-day client interface, delivering value through accurate costing and strategic guidance.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive cost knowledge, and excellent stakeholder collaboration across design teams, contractors, and owners. On-site presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of cost management experience on construction projects.
• RICS accreditation preferred or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders through the project lifecycle.
• Provide cost planning and final cost estimates to clients.
• Lead cost management on medium to large projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Review pricing with contractors and drive fair contracting outcomes.
• Manage post‑contract variances, changes, and cost controls.
• Produce monthly cost reports and support funding presentations.
