Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to serve as the primary client interface, delivering value-added cost management services throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will lead cost estimation, planning, and change management, coordinating with design teams and contractors while elevating cost-awareness across projects. On-site and client-facing work are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in cost management within construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or pursuing it.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders across the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning, including final cost plan.
• Review cost estimates with design services and general contractor.
• Reconcile changes and ensure data accuracy for contractors.
• Communicate with project stakeholders to prepare cost estimate updates.
• Prepare executive summaries and written comments for contractor submissions.
• Coordinate cost information sources from subs, A/Es, and specialists.
• Identify cost impacts to inform engineering priorities and design choices.
• Lead cost checks and valuations on large projects, ensuring timely delivery.
• Manage post-contract variances and change control processes.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for client presentations and benchmarking.
