Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to serve as the key client liaison and deliver value-added cost management services. You will lead cost planning, estimate development, and cost checks across projects, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The successful candidate will communicate effectively, work independently or in a team, and promote the firm’s values and approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Professional accreditation or working towards it preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects.
• Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide cost plans and final cost estimates for projects.
• Review with design and general contractor the development of cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and ensure data accuracy for contractors.
• Prepare cost estimate updates and executive summaries.
• Coordinate cost information from subconsultants and design firms.
• Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
• Produce monthly cost reports for client presentations.
