Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support cost management across large-scale life sciences, pharmaceutical and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will be client-focused and deliver high-quality commercial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include advising on procurement, developing estimates, managing cost reports, and coordinating with project teams to ensure successful commercial outcomes on complex programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction discipline and accreditation progress valued.
• 3–5 years in cost management, quantity surveying, estimating or commercial management.
• Experience on medium to large-scale projects, preferably life sciences or technical sectors.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on procurement strategies, prequalification, bids and awards.
• Develop estimates, review junior estimates, and provide cost plans to clients.
• Present cost plans, benchmarks and VE recommendations.
• Manage cost reporting, budgets, and spend forecasts.
• Oversee cost control, payment applications, changes, and commercial advice.
