Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our team supporting a major capital construction program in the life sciences sector. You will collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver accurate estimates, cost reporting and value engineering across multiple development phases.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in construction or related field, 3–5 years in cost management, and familiarity with procurement routes and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation or working toward it is valuable.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects, including manufacturing or life sciences.

Responsabilités

• Advise client on strategies, manage prequalification of vendors, assess proposals, bids, and bid leveling documents, make final recommendations to client, chair bid interviews.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees, direct costs, review estimations by junior team members, present estimates and value engineering recommendations.
• Establish cost reporting schedule, review cost reports and forecasts, manage budget and risk register, hold periodic meetings with project team and vendors.
• Review payment applications, discuss contractor entitlements, review change orders, and manage contractual disputes and invoicing process.
• Conduct final accounting and post-contract audits, and perform lessons-learned reviews.
